    It’s Benihana, you really can’t go wrong. Make a reservation, this is a popular place. If you have to wait the bar is indoor and outdoor and great for people watching. Parking is super easy in the mall garage. We were lucky enough to get a private room for our experience. Of course the chef kept us entertained with an assortment of food tricks. If you look on you tube that’s pretty much the experience you’ll have. The fried rice might be the best I’ve had. If you’ve never been to Benihana then you have to go at least once.

    Best filet I’ve ever had at a hibachi restaurant. Really enjoyed the soup. The salad dressing was grainy, I didn’t care for that. Hot sake is $12 per carafe so a little overpriced I think. They cut the shrimp into pieces also, I would rather have it whole. They only give you zucchini and onions. Would like broccoli/carrots also? Rice was amazing and so was the yum yum sauce. Great service.

    Food and drinks were great, as you would expect. The location, awesome. Great views, cool setup inside. But in the end our visit here ended up tainting what was a great vacation prior. We went for my birthday, having just enjoyed a nice jackpot win and an awesome helicopter ride, so we were on cloud 9 at our arrival and pretty hard to fluster.

    We were sat with one other couple that kept talking about how they were regulars (with the employees, not with us) and how they knew all the management.

    It was very clear the staff was trying to impress these people and focus on them. The problem? They forgot about the other couple at the table, us. Other than our fried rice which was prepared first, their meal was prepared in its entirety in one fells swoop while ours was prepared during the last couple minutes of the chefs time.

    The chef did not ask us how the food was or engage us in conversation. Similarly, the server AND manager asked the other couple how their experience was but did not ask us.

    Don’t get me wrong, the food was great. But when you are going to pay $150-$200 per couple for a meal, you are looking for an engaging experience. The prior 3 birthdays of mine we spent in Vegas were at Vic and Anthony’s and never have they fell short on experience for the money we spend. We wanted to do something different this year, and chose Benihana SPECIFICALLY because (at least locally) it is generally a great time.

    We felt like we were unimportant, unvalued and basically invisible. Next year, we will go back to Vic and Anthony’s for some steaks. It’s unfortunate, because we love Hibachi.

    Maybe I am picky or even weird, but I would tolerate a mediocre meal with great experience/atmosphere… for me, it is harder to be happy about the opposite. Doesn’t matter how good the food is, if you feel like the people on the other end couldn’t care less that you were there.

    The meal was decent and our chef, Tony, was great! However, when it came time to bring back change and the checks, our waiter returned with no change. He didn’t acknowledge that he owed us change at all; almost as if we would forget. He even seemed annoyed when we asked to see the bills to know how much change was owed. I understand if he had to find change (which he claims he was doing each time he came to our table). But, it took almost 30 minutes to bring a total of $30 dollars of change. Something fishy is going on with that.

    This was my first experience at any Benihana. I won’t be back.

    Was not able to seat us within 35 minutes of our reservation. When we left and let the manager know he was apathetic at best. They sat multiple people who showed up after us as well. Poor service
